300-Year-Old Mission San Xavier del Bac Serves as Common Ground for Several Cultures
The Mission San Xavier del Bac invites visitors to escape the southern Arizona heat and partake in a moment of quiet contemplation, as it has done for more than 300 years. Built in the 1700s, the church is a melting pot (no pun intended) where two native tribes, Latino Catholics, and white Catholics join together in their common faith. A steady stream of tourists, photographers, and others can be found frequenting the site as well.
